Becoming Your Own Best Friend: A Self-Compassion Workshop Series

Are you your harshest critic? Is your self-talk a bit nasty? Are the words you say to yourself in your head words you would NEVER utter to a friend or someone you love? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this Self-Compassion Workshop Series is for YOU!

In this 5-week workshop series, I break down the components of self-compassion and offer numerous activities that will help you develop a more positive relationship with yourself. We start each session with breathing exercises to get grounded and present. I then present information regarding self-compassion: (a) the components of self-compassion, (b) myths about self-compassion, (c) what self-compassion is and what it isn't, (d) research findings, and (e) practical reasons for engaging in the practice of self-compassion. Each session includes various activities and exercised to practice each component of self-compassion. Stop the negative, harsh dialog with yourself in your head and embrace more compassion and care for yourself.

I created this workshop based on my experience as a psychologist, as well as my trainings with Drs. Brené Brown and Kristin Neff.

All sessions will be recorded, so if you miss a week live, no worries! You'll have the recorded session to catch up. You may also choose to not attend the live sessions and simply use the recorded sessions at your own pace.

All are welcome!

This workshop series meets every Tuesday, March 16-April 13 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. CST.
