Trust that leads to healing

I believe that each of us wants to be seen, heard, and valued. Private counseling sessions provide a confidential space for you to share your story. A place where you can express your truest feelings without judgement. A space where you can process all that is going on in your life. We will explore the roots of your struggles, how these issues are showing up in your current life, and the changes you want to make so that you can live your best life. I provide an accepting and nurturing environment in which we will build a trusting relationship to allow this work to unfold.

As a Licensed Psychologist, I offer private, individual psychotherapy, counseling, and coaching sessions. These sessions are typically 50-55 minutes in length, usually occurring either weekly or bi-weekly. I have honed my expertise in the areas of shame, trauma, relationships, women's health, body image, grief, vulnerability, authenticity, and self-compassion.

I also have extensive experience in working in the areas of depression and anxiety. As well, I have developed expertise in helping others overcome limiting beliefs, navigate life and career transitions, and make steady progress toward their goals and dreams. The foundation of my counseling approach is in working collaboratively and compassionately with my clients.

In terms of my approach, I consider people’s family of origin as the foundation for how they developed into the person they are today. From these early roots, I believe our relationships with others and our environment (the context of our lives) then continue to shape our sense of self and identity. As a certified facilitator of Dr. Brené Brown’s work, I incorporate shame-resilience, vulnerability, authenticity, and self-compassion as core components of my work with clients.

Mind + Body

As a Certified Yoga Teacher, I offer private individual and small group yoga sessions. These can take the form of vinyasa and/or hatha yoga, as well as trauma-informed yoga and grief yoga. Given my background in both psychology and yoga, I am able to utilize traditional psychological practices and incorporate awareness of breath and the body during psychotherapy and counseling sessions. This integration is an available option, not required.
